An error with code F01 indicates problems with locking the door of the Bosch machine. The problem may be related to the electronics, the breakdown of the latch or due to banal mechanical interference. Do not try to forcefully close the hatch, it is important to figure out what became the reason. Moreover, in most cases this problem can be dealt with at home without resorting to the services of a wizard.
Home check and fix
- Carefully inspect the door: it is possible that clothes loaded in the drum interfere with its tight fit. It is also likely that the seal is dirty - a common occurrence after long use;
- Check that the seal (cuff) of the hatch is not deformed;
- Make sure the fixation is in order. If you managed to close the drum, but you did not hear the usual click in this case, and F01 or the lock icon is still lit on the indicator of the washing machine, this looks like a breakdown of the lock.
If the hatch is closed tightly, but the error does not disappear, everything indicates defects in the electronics of the washing machine. It is necessary to check whether the device that is responsible for blocking the hatch is working properly. In some cases, it will be sufficient to clean it from small debris that inevitably collects after dozens of iterations of washing, but a complete replacement is more likely required. If everything is in order with the device, then it may be necessary to flash the control module or replace the processor and / or the entire control board.
